Cântaro evokes the strength and simplicity of ancient objects made to last. The form is tall and structured - a waist at the centre divides the body into two volumes, and the handle rises in a wide arc above the neck. A silhouette that time already knows.
The terracotta surface, with manganese oxide and chamotte, holds the grooves and reliefs of the hand: textures that shift with the light, shadows that reveal the rhythm of making. As if the history of the clay could be touched.
This work is born from the observation of silent time inscribed in matter - a contemplative presence between sculpture and everyday ritual, the result of an intuitive process of hand-building.
