Fio is a robust piece, made from red clay where the oxide has transformed the surface into a deep, dark black. The texture is raw and marked - grooves, pores, traces of the hand that tell the story of the making. A piece that feels found, not created.
The name suggests what the form holds: something continuous, persistent, that runs through matter without being seen.
This work is born from the observation of silent time inscribed in matter - a contemplative presence between sculpture and everyday ritual, the result of an intuitive process of hand-building.
