Sopro takes its name from the wind that runs along the beach and lifts the sand, letting it settle where it will. The form is low and rounded, rising into a tall neck that ends in a small mouth, with an arched handle on one side. Modelled in black stoneware, the dark surface is crossed by pale bands that seem laid down by the air, blown sand that clung to the matter before the wind moved on.

This work is born from the observation of the silent time inscribed in matter, a contemplative presence between sculpture and everyday ritual, the result of an intuitive process of hand modelling.

A unique piece, it will not be reproduced.
